Colony Diabetes Staff
Colony Drug & Wellness Center offers the knowledge, the staff and the support to help you control your diabetes.
The diabetes program at Colony Drug is staffed by two fulltime pharmacists with extensive diabetes experience. Patty Johnston, RPh and Keith Foster, RPh have been working with the PEIA Diabetes Management Program since its inception in 2004.
Colony Drug and Wellness Center has on staff Arnie Vaughn, RD, LD, CDE. Arnie is one of the area’s only Certified Diabetes Educators and Outpatient Dietitians. In addition, Arnie is a certified insulin pump trainer.
Colony offers the resources to provide the training, skills and information you need to control your diabetes for your best health possible.
Colony Training
Colony Drug & Wellness Center can provide a wide variety of diabetes training, counseling and health monitoring equipment to meet your individual needs.

Colony Drug and Wellness Center will work with you and your physician to provide you with the training you need.
Diabetes counseling and education is a covered expense by Medicaid, Medicare, PEIA and through many insurance plans. You should contact your company if you have questions. Colony Drug works with most plans and will bill your insurance direct.
Diabetic Shoes & Supplies
Colony Drug & Wellness Center is your home for diabetic shoes. We have a certified diabetic shoe fitter on staff to assure that your shoes fit appropriately to care for your feet. We currently carry shoes from Stride Lite and Dr. Comfort in a wide variety of styles including walking and sports, casual, and dress shoes.
Colony Drug also carries a complete line of diabetic supplies including diabetic socks, insulin travel cases, needle magnifiers, glucose tablets and gels, and alcohol swabs.
PEIA Face To Face Diabetes Care
Colony Drug & Wellness Center offers even more to participating members of PEIA through the Face To Face Diabetes Management Program.
Colony Drug was a pilot site for the PEIA Face To Face Program and has been counseling patient with diabetes for more than 6 years. Colony has two pharmacists who have been with the program from the beginning.
As lifestyle management is such a large part of diabetes control, Colony has a full-time registered dietitian and certified diabetes educator on staff to assist you.
